Working Well – Meeting Expectations I primarily wanted this unit because of humidity feature. I had just installed a whole house humidifier on our furnace and wanted to be able to monitor its performance. The negative reviews gave me some concern as they involved accuracy and more notably the 99% humidity readings. Inaccurate outdoor reading periodically The indoor reading always seem to be pretty accurate. However, the outdoor reading–the temperature part for sure–I do not have a whole lot of faith in. It might be correct most of the time, but I have noticed several times when it is inaccurate enough to make me question it. One morning I woke up and it said something like 158 degrees! I really wanted to like this product because it is very accurate I really wanted to like this product because it is very accurate. I tested the accuracy with a laboratory grade glass thermometer traceable to NIST standards that reads to 1/10th of a degree by placing the display, remote and glass thermometer next to each other and waiting for them to stabilize.
